LEBEN IN CHICAGO (English below)

Chicago ist eine großartige Stadt mit viel Architektur, sehr hohe und mächtigen Gebäuden, kein Vergleich zu Wien.
Das Leben hier, also nahe an einer Großstadt zu wohnen ist aufregend viele Leute von der ganzen Welt. Ich lebe hier seit ca nicht ganz vier Monaten und habe schon viele Leute kennengelernt. Es gibt viel Fortgehmöglichkeiten einige Clubs und Blues Bars. Chicago liegt am Lake Michigan und im Sommer gibt es auch an den Stränden von Chicago Strandbars. Sehr viele Sportmöglichkeiten von American Football bis über Baseball und Basketball. Ich liebe Chicago Popcorn :) Viele Essensgeschäfte an jeder Ecke viele gute Restaurants, viel gutes Essen, viele Festivals, viele nette Leute, viele Shoppingmöglichkeiten, vieles zu sehen Milleniumpark the Bean und viele Sehenswürdigkeiten, Museen, Lyrik Oper und Musicals, Aquarium, .....und vieles mehr... bzw... was will man mehr :)

Ich fühle mich sehr wohl hier, bei meiner Familie sie ist sehr wertschätzend und liebevoll

Ich liebe es mit meiner Gastmutter in Zumba zu gehen oder Workout zu machen., vor allem liebe ich die Großmutter meines Kleinen sie ist sehr hilfsbereit und zeigt mir viele Sachen hier in Chicago. Ich hatte auch sehr viel Spaß beim Kochen von traditionellen Speisen von Österreich für meine Gasteltern wie Schnitzel, Schweinsbraten, Apfelstrudel ...

Ich fühle mich in Amerika sehr gut aufgenommen und habe auch den Führerschein hier in Illinois gemacht.
Jeden Mittwoch Abend treffe ich mich mit den Au Pairs von meiner Umgebung bei Starbacks um über viele verschiedene Dinge zu plaudern. Wie das Leben in den jeweiligen Familien ist, über Neuigkeiten bei jeden einzelnen und über die Planung von Wochenendtrips und Urlaube und natürlich wie die Trips und Urlaube waren.
Sowohl auch wie das Leben hier ist und in unserer Kultur sowie auch über andere Kulturen und deren Bräuche und Lifestyle.

LIFE IN CHICAGO

Chicago is an amazing city, with a lot of architecture, huge magestic buildings. You can't compare it with Vienna.

The life here, close to such a big city, is very exciting. There are many people from all over the world, it is very multicultural.

I already met a lot of people here. There are many things to do. For example, go out in Blues Bars, Restaurants and Clubs.  "Have fun" is always the motto...

There are a whole bunch of food stores, many shopping possibilities, and nice things to see. Some famous sights include the bean at Millenium park, multiple Art museums, Field museum, The Aquarium, The Lyric Opera house (with good performances and musicals). In Summer there are a lot of festivals from different cultures, Beaches and Beach bars, nice people, good food, and lovely family. It's all that you need :)

I feel very homey and cozy by my family. They are appreciative and lovely.

I love them :)

I love my host mom, she is so much fun. I like to workout with her and go to Zumba. I love the dog from the family! I like to run with her during my free time. The grandmother from the little boy is awesome, she shows me a lot of things every time in the city. I love her too :)

I had also a lot of fun when I cooked Austrian food for my host family the first time. I cooked veal cutlet and roast pork. We all enjoyed the food. I asked my host mom the first time when she tried the veal cutlet, if it is good and she answered: "NO, it is delicious" :)

I feel very comfortable here and acclimated. I also passed the test for the driving license of Illinois.

Every Wednesday I meet with the other Au Pairs from my neighborhood at Starbucks Coffee and we talk about different things: the life in our families, news, planning the next trip or vacation and also how the life here is in America and in the other countries with different cultures is. We discuss mostly the differences between America and our countries Austria, Germany, Mexico and so on... and how the lifestyle of the americans are :)
